Gratiot County Department of Veterans Affairs
What We Do:
Provide assistance to veterans and their dependents to access benefits provided to veterans by county, state, and federal agencies, primarily the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
Services:
Veteran and spouse burial benefits, Government headstones or markers, Veterans Relief Fund for emergency assistance, VA compensation, VA pensions, medical assistance, VA Home Loans, and military records request.
NO FEES -- All services provided by Gratiot County Dept. of Veterans Affairs are free of charge.
This is just an overview of the services provided by our office. In addition to those services noted elsewhere, we also prepare requests for medals, assist with appeals to VA decisions, and assist in coordination with other human service agencies on behalf of the veteran, surviving spouse or dependents.
