Responsibilities
The Human Resource Department provides leadership to and works in partnership with departments on recruitment, retention efforts and labor relation. The department is also responsible for new employee orientation, personnel records, compensation and employee benefits including:
- Dental
- Family Medical Leave

- Long and Short-Term Disability Plans
- Retirement
- Vision
- Workers Compensation
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Gratiot County Human Resource department to provide quality services to all employees of Gratiot County. This includes the recruitment, screening, interviewing and hiring of ideal candidates and the retention of quality employees.
